Dali the Comic

Here is the great artist Salvador Dali showcasing his comedic timing and well earned sense of self-importance on the iconic American television show 'What's My Line?' which ran for two decades. I absolutely love the picture Dali obviously has of himself in his head, and how he manages to win the host and the studio audience around to believing it too. Dali was a well known prankser, both visually in his art, and in real life, and I think this ironic and self-mocking sense of humour is at work in this piece.
