Good job, Sarah Burton. You do Alexander McQueen's memory and legacy complete justice.

Can You Say Subversion?
I fucking love this image, the inherent subversive quality of it. A sexy girl sits on her bed, a pouty attractive look on her face she holds a magazine up in front of her. But the magazine is Playboy, she shouldn't be reading that. The girl is quite clearly not wearing a top, but the breasts we see are those of the model on the magazine, and even then we don't see all of them. Should we be gratified or not?

That New Book Smell
I work in a beautiful bookshop, so I might be biased (my mother is a librarian and my aunt is an author. I AM biased!) but I believe that nothing can ever replace the feel, the smell, the joy, of a new book. The Internet might be 'taking over', the Kindle is trying to kill, but I think that the book will never truly die. It's too magical.
Olsen Obsession
I could write and write and write about how awesome I think the Olsen twins are, especially Ashley, but I won't bore you. If you want to see more of their inspiring fashion choices click the title link. If you don't, then just appreciate this stunning photo (pre- Lady Gaga's 'Telephone' can-curlers, I'd like to point out.)

Wang+Lee+xx=PERFECTION
This video is genius. An amazing desginer, a model who's finally getting the campaigns she deserves, and a band already destined for uncomfortable levels of fame...
You should know all of these people, BUT if you've been hiding under a rock lately, I'll help you out:
If you don't know who Alexander Wang is, click this: http://www.style.com/fashionshows/designerdirectory/AWANG/seasons/

Summer/Winter
I want to see this exhibition! Unfortunately it's in LA so I can't, and must sate myself with Amber B.'s website (link in title) and the videos and pictures I found there. Summer Winter is Amber B.'s newest exhibition/installation in the POV Gallery. Inspired by the cutest love story, the exhibition tells the tale of the love between Miss Summer and Mr Winter and how they came together. Amber B is an Australian artist and her site is well worth a look, if only for cute things like thise pictured above.

An Irish Master
Jack B. Yeats is one of the most talented and renowned painter that our fair isle of Ireland has ever produced. Son of the painter John Butler Yeats and brother of the Nobel prize-winning writer William Butler Yeats. Though he began his artistic life as an illustrator, around 1920 he moved into a deeply Expressionist style and it's for this that he became famous and made his work become collector's items. This painting, of his favourite subject, the Irish land and seascapes is titled 'The Sea' and it's the painting of his that I love the most (except for 'Old Walls'...) Go online, go to the National Gallery of Ireland (linked in title) and look at his exceptional artwork- you will fall in love with it.

Time To Grab Your Wellies
Festival season is in full swing, and this year, with the choice and range of festivals ever expanding and most people's cash-flow not as healthy as previous years, one must choose carefully what you're going to shell out for. The one I'm braving the weather for this summer is Knockanstockan, a small independent music festival for and by musicians. Run entirely by volunteers and coming in at a mere €75 for three days and over a hundred acts; as well as being situated by the beautiful Blessington Lakes in Wicklow, this laid back and friendly little festival is well worth getting soggy and mucky for.

Click on the link in the title and find yourself immersed in a world of craft and creation; all things hand-made and original- from teddy's and food, to fascinators and knitwear. This blog (run by two of my favourite ladies in the world) will inspire and delight, and if the pictures here don't pique your interest then I don't know what will...

To Die For
There are no words, except to say Riccardo Tisci is a genius. No runway for Givenchy this year, just a private showcase to properly display these works of art. I wish the photos could show the details of the ceramic belt crafted like a spinal column, the zippers made to look like bones, and the human skeleton itself laid out in flat lace applique on a tulle column. The collection is rich and challenging, exactly what couture is all about.

Time To Check Out AA
That's american archive, not American Apparel. An online vintage store on ebay, they are spot-on with their collection full of native prints, draped sheers, distressed scraps of denim and lots of leg on show. The style is all-American basics with a touch of European glamour and makes me feel sharp pangs of longing, particularly for the combination of black bodysuit under a sheer pink shirt, pictured on the far right.

He's a Face Hunter
His name is Ivan Rodic, and he hunts faces. In his own words, he 'travels the globe in search of the most inventive, colourful, freaky, imaginative, gifted, graceful, exquisite, fascinating, unpredictable, gorgeous, refined, delicate, divine, facehuntable, fantabulous, bewitching, edgy, ravishing, chic, winning, alluring, wild, glamorous, voluptuous, radiant, classy and - if possible - good-looking people.' Visit the blog (linked in the title), pour over the book, you will be inspired and filled with an insatiable longing to go out and shop shop shop...
Speedy Reader
An entire issue of Industrie magazine in less than a minute and a half; I think it shows how beautiful a magazine can be when all you see is pictures and perfectly layed-out fonts. The aesthetics of something created purely to showcase beautiful and innovative creations. The amount of time and effort that gets put into the publication of a single issue of a fashion magazine on the scale of Industrie or Vogue is mind boggling yet this video shows how fleeting and disposable the end product actually is.

Le Smoking
I know that smoking is bad for you, and for everyone around you. But how is it that smoking can make someone look so sexy? Images of people smoking particularly appeal to me. I don't know if its because these women are supermodels, or because they were photographed by very talented photographers but these images are so effortlessly striking and stunning. For more images like these, go to lesmokingimage.blogspot.com, linked in the title. You'll be enraptured for some time.
